You beat me to it Larry. I can see no reason not to shoot a scene like this a ISO 1600 -- unless you /have to/ freeze the action. An SDx or DPx camera would have done a better job IMO. ..

Thanks for your kind replies. The image was taken in quite gloomy and dark weather - so the rendering is really a bit lighter than the actual subject. But - thats just fine for autumn colors really. ..
